■STAGE 5 Hawaii Result
AMERICA'S TOUR STAGE 5 Hawaii was held at the Hawaiian Brian's on August 29th to 30th. 64 players participated in this STAGE and there were many local faces challenging the top players from the mainland.
On the SHOOT OUT Round, Hawaii local Elmer Acorda (HI) won the night with the score of 9686 points which earned him the #1 spot of the Tournament Round and the prize money US$100. Following Acorda, DJ Sayre Jr scored 9230 points to earn the #2 spot, Shaun Narain became 3rd withs 8714 points and Alex Reyes was at 4th with 8650 points.
The competition of SHOOT OUT Round was fierce as the all top 7 players scored more than 8000 points, which one dart could change the whole result.
The Tournament Round became a day where "Aloha State" showcased their talent level. Among the top 16, 5 players were from Hawaii (Elmer Acorda, Doug Kamae, Reyn Agcaoili, Philman Reyes and Keith Kozai). Elmer Acorda and Doug Kamae also became the Elite 8 of STAGE 5.
The final match was competed between 2013 Annual Winner Larry Butler (OH) and 2014 STAGE 4 winner Leonard Gates (TX). The match had to go to a full 7 legs match, and none of the leg were an easy one for both players. Butler increased his lead by 3 - 1 at the 4th leg, almost achieving his 4th championship, but Gates made an amzaing come back on the 5th leg by hitting countless 9 marks and tieing the match with 3 - 3 at the 6th leg. Cricket was chosen for the final leg with Butler throwing first. Butler's showed his rock steady consistency and his crafty strategies backed by his experience showing what it takes to become a winner of last year, but Gates was just untouchable. Whenever Butler made a check move, Gates came back with a strong power move to keep up with the champ and showing the will to win. The final leg could've been either ones with only a slight difference, but Gates managed to close the game with 4 - 3. Gates has won 2 consective STAGES this year, and winning consective STAGES was never done besides Butler.
Joining Gates, Butler, Acorda and Kamae, DJ Sayre Jr, Ray Carver, Shaun Narain and Alex Reyes joined the Elite 8 of STAGE 5.

The 2014 Annual Point Ranking is now updated. STAGE 5 Winner Leonard Gates is now leading the Annual Point Ranking with 47 points. Ray Carver is chasing Gates with a 5 poings differencial 42 points, ans 2013 Annual Winner is right behind with 41 points.
